Who we are

WhyNot Detail is a mobile auto detailing business serving Rochester, NY and the surrounding towns. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit whynotdetail.com, book with us, or message us (including through our Facebook and Instagram ads), and how we use it.

What we collect

Information you give us:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• The address where your vehicle will be serviced
• Details about your vehicle, the services you're interested in, and any notes you send
• Your answers to the questions in our Messenger and Instagram chats, such as the service you want, your vehicle type and your town
• Anything else you choose to tell us by text, phone, email or message

Information collected automatically: like most websites, our site uses cookies and similar tools from Google (Google Ads conversion tracking and Google Maps address lookup). These can collect your browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location. They don't give us your name.

How we use it

• To give you a quote, schedule your appointment and show up at the right place
• To contact you about your booking by text, phone, email or message
• To follow up after your detail, for example to ask for a review or tell you about our membership
• To see which of our ads and pages are working

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

Only the services we use to run the business:

• Our booking and scheduling software, which stores your appointment details
• Meta (Facebook, Instagram and Messenger), when you message us or respond to one of our ads
• Google, for address lookup on our booking form and ad measurement

We may also share information if the law requires it.

Text messages

If you give us your phone number, we may text you about your appointment, such as confirmations, arrival times and follow-ups. Reply STOP at any time and we'll stop texting you. Message and data rates may apply.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact and appointment history for as long as you're a customer, and as long as we need it for our records afterward. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email keaton@whynotdetail.com or call or text (585) 867-1185. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage how Meta and Google use your information for ads in your Facebook, Instagram and Google account settings.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
